Technology Volunteer Opportunities and Online Workshops for Seniors |
In April, BCRPVPA received a New Horizons Grant for $25,000 to improve digital literacy within our community for members and other seniors over 50. We have partnered with BCRTA to improve our outreach and to help find new mentors for one-to-one support. If you are interested in finding out more about becoming a one-to-one mentor please access online training information. There will be 12 free online workshops and 2 in-person workshops made available. These workshops are provided by Connected Canadians, a nonprofit society supporting seniors with technology. From September through March, there will be 6 different online workshops offered. Each workshop is repeated in the month to ensure greater uptake.
