Volunteering – Pacific Assistance Dogs Society (Pads)

Pacific Assistance Dogs Society (PADS) breeds, raises, trains and places fully certified assistance dogs. Our service (mobility & PTSD) and hearing dogs provide life-changing independence to those with disabilities. Our accredited facility dogs work with community professionals, such as teachers, RCMP and psychologists to help support healthy communities.

PADS is a fully accredited member of Assistance Dogs International (ADI), and completes a comprehensive reaccreditation process every five years. This certification not only ensures the highest standards of programming and care, but also makes them one of only three schools in western Canada whose dogs are automatically granted certification and public access rights.
