Our Summer Arts Series is back in July 2024, with workshops and lectures focusing on art and the urban landscape. Learn from experts on how art transforms our experience of the world and the way we engage with one another. These workshops are open to learners of all backgrounds and include drawing in the urban landscape, soundscape appreciation and creation, and urban spaces in place-based fiction. Knowledge Democracy in Higher Education (a noncredit course)
Knowledge Democracy in Higher Education is a five-part learning series focused on understanding the principles of community-university engagement, community-based participatory research, building equitable partnerships, integrating the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), and transforming higher education. This online program will combine both asynchronous and synchronous learning (led by the UNESCO Research Chairs and invited experts).
The series allows enrolment in individual sessions, with full-series participants earning a certificate of completion. Exploring knowledge’s role in addressing societal issues, participants interact with cutting-edge concepts, experienced educators, and external experts, fostering democratic learning environments.
