2023-2024 General Meetings
In 2023-2024, the speakers at General Meetings were:

- Constable Gho, Vancouver Police scam section:
We began the year with a presentation by Constable Gho of the scam section of the Vancouver Police. He addressed the two principal areas of scams involving seniors: dating scams and the grandchild needing money to release him/her from prison/hospital. These two scams alone result in millions of dollars to scam artists.
- Cathy Wong re Estate Planning:
We proceeded with matters of interest which had been identified by our membership – an address to our Membership by Cathy Wong re Estate Planning
- Lesley Russell:
Later in the year Lesley Russell, an associate with a law firm, spoke to the Membership about the legal aspects of Estate Planning.
- Lisa Mort-Putland re Volunteerism:
Since volunteerism is also a point of interest, we invited Lisa Mort-Putland from the Victoria Branch of Volunteerism to present to us. Her words were very meaningful as she addressed much of what we do as carers as true volunteerism.
