Thank you to the 2023-2024 Executive:
We pay tribute to this year’s Executive members who once again, have dedicated their time not only to individual and family matters, but keeping our Members current with valuable BCRPVPA issues.
1 – PRESIDENT: Ted St. Pierre, after 3rd year in this role,
1) monthly coordination with the web designer to update the bcrpvpa.ca website;
2) editor of the newsletter Chronicles & Capers;
3) attendance at one Principals’ & Vice-Principals’ Chapter Council;
4) has received all current contacts with the info@bcrpvpa.ca email address;
5) distribution of Minutes for the 4 Executive & 4 General Meetings.
2 – PAST PRESIDENT: Christine Johnson, after one year in this role,
1) received contacts with the email info@bcrpvpa.ca throughout 2023;
2) formed part of the Scholarship Committee;
3) edited newsletter articles;
4) sending out Newsletters and other mail to the members that have requested receipt of the same;
5) invited 3 guest speakers.
3 – VICE-PRESIDENT: Marsha Arnold
1) after one year in this role,
2) the strong liaison with the Benefits, Affinity & Pensions that are
available to all BCRPVPA Members;
3) author of the Yammer Updates;
4) has sent out all Member Updates and several Newsletters;
5) has done many website updates as well as Viva Engage;
6) Also, contributor to newsletters in the communications’ portfolio.
4) TREASURER: Lanny Young, after 8 years in this role, has had associations with the newly-appointed BCPVPA Accountant (Simon) & Assistant (Supipi).
This provided very detailed monthly financial updates at the Executive & General Meetings. The financial Team consisting of Lanny, Simon & Supipi, ensured that all submitted receipts were paid.
Lanny also organized the AGM guest speaker on the topic ‘Wills”.
Lunch followed by thanking BCPVPA Office Staff for their support.
MEMBERS-AT-LARGE:
5 – Jeff Larcombe has spent many years:
1) as coordinator of the Scholarship Committee;
2) receiving all Grade 12 student applications;
3) coordinating meetings to choose successful student applications;
4) complimenting successful applicants;
5) thanking all unsuccessful students for their interest in the BCRPVPA Scholarship program;
6 – Deborah Luporini has once again been in the role of BCRPVPA Membership;
1) receiving all new BCRPVPA Member applications;
2) contacting BCPVPA Membership personnel (Vinod) and subsequently Teachers’ Pension Plan;
3) updating contact information of our members on the mailing list;
4) welcoming new members to the BCRPVP Association;
5) it’ll be a pleasure working with Deborah as this coming year’s President.
• Ian Kent has been involved
1) as the Secretary for Executive and General Meetings including the AGM;
2) he has been involved with the Scholarship Committee.
• Yolande Martinello has been instrumental as a member of the Scholarship Committee. The work of the Scholarship Committee is much appreciated.
• Sher Baerg & Elaine Thompson have been very dedicated members of the Executive Committee.
