Past President’s Report

Newsletter, June 2024

I’d like to start off by saying a big THANK YOU to Ted St. Pierre who is leaving the position of President but staying on as a Member-at-Large. Having taken early retirement, Ted has been a member of the BCRPVPA for many years. I can’t recall a time when he wasn’t in an Executive position. He has been Treasurer, Vice-President, President, Past President, and the Editor of the Newsletter. Reliability, Patience, Responsibility, Kindness are all qualities which Ted owns in abundance. These qualities stand him in good stead for his coaching of Curling. Yes, he even finds time for that and for being a good Son, Brother, and Uncle to his very large Family in Ontario.
His leadership will be missed.

The Speakers in 23-24 were much appreciated and spoke to our areas of interest – volunteering, scams affecting seniors, estate planning and wills. Please feel free to make any suggestions for Speakers in the 24-25 year.

1 – Please consider running for the Executive in a named position next year. Members-at-Large are able to join us throughout the current year – a good way to volunteer.
